Well here we go with 3 more makeovers. One is simple and small and two of them could be married they look so good together. I’m so excited to take these pieces to Waco this weekend. I can’t believe that August is already here. I’ll finish up, make my delivery just in time to start getting ready for school. Where has the summer gone?
First up is this adorable little coffee table. It’s the perfect size for any home big or small. The top was a mess. When I started to sand away years of color stain and years of I’m not sure what stains I found something quiet funny. As I sanded away the color the shape of a piece of pizza came through. I guess the grease made the shape on top of the table in the wood. I carefully sanded until that stain was gone. It’s a great table because the legs are easily removed so the table could be stored in the back of a closet or under a bed. This was a great find at an estate sale over 2 years ago.
Oh my goodness the next two piece are like a great relationship. Different, but so much alike in so many ways. First the end table with all that great wood carving from the 70’s. I mean WOW I’m in love with this table. It sanded back so beautifully and has fallen deep into the farmhouse style. The top was sanded and stained giving it a dressy look. The table was bought in an auction in Forney.
Finally the third makeover I’m sharing today is this almost forgotten executive desk. These were popular for many years for home offices. Then desk top computers got popular and these executive desk fell to the way side. I love the regal look and style of the legs. Sanding the top and restraining it brought it back to life. Although both pieces are so different the chalk paint and stained tops make them the perfect match. I bought this just a week ago in an estate sale. It now can be used for a desk, entertainment center, entryway piece or even as a dressing table.
So I’ve shared 8 projects with you so far. Each day I pull the pieces I’ve worked on and finish up all the loose ends. Tomorrow is a big, big blog many more projects to share with you. Wait until you see the farm table. I was hoping to share it tonight but it wasn’t dry. That made taking photo’s out of the question. I’m tired but it’s a good tired and I’m looking forward to the drive to Waco. I’m so very proud of this collection.
