It’s hard to believe but come July 1st my blog will be three years old. Wow that is so shocking and exciting to me. Shocking because I had no idea how to run a blog much less keep it going. Exciting because I know what is up the road and around the bend over the next few months. Blue Happy is growing right before my eyes and it’s amazing to watch. We’ve hired our first employee her name is Anna. She has been such a help to Greg and I watching the Waco store and keeping it well-organized. Anna was a past graduate at the school I teach at and she is now going to college in Waco. She had worked for me in the past as a volunteer at art camp. She is a hard worker, understands my quirkiness and always makes me laugh. It was the perfect fit for Blue Happy.
I’m not one that like’s or except changes but it time to make some changes to the Blue Happy blog. Most of the time I blog ahead, but there are weeks and months that get so very busy that I’m chasing my tail blogging just before it post. There are nights that I’m so tired I can’t even think of words to type. I rise every morning at 3:50 to start my day and by the time I get to my computer to blog my brain is so tired. Trying to think of what project or heart-felt message to blog about is a challenge at best. I’m an organizer at heart and when I thought of how to make this better for me a light bulb went off. “My blog isn’t organized”! This is making my blog life a bit bumpy at times and I want that to change.
After a great conversations with the computer guru my daughter Heather we came up with a plan. To pick a project for each day of the week. It would go something like this….
Monday: Projects that organize
Tuesday: Restored Life from the Heart or about my health update
Wednesday: Recycle, Redo, Renew with a Before and After project
Thursday: Home Decor projects that prove even the small changes make a difference
Friday: DIY projects that are easy for you to do around your home
By following this plan I can prepare ahead for the blogs. That way I’m not so tired that I can’t think of what I need to blog about. I love to prepare and organize things and doing that to my life is like “oh my goodness I’m so Blue Happy”. I’m excited to start this format on Monday April the 9th. I’ll be blogging about projects I already have worked out for Thursday and Friday of this week but then we are off to the new way of blogging. I would also like to go into more details with more photo’s so that you can use the steps to change things in your own home. You don’t have to buy new things all you need is right in your own home. It just needs a pick me up with paint, sanding back and clear finish. There isn’t any piece of furniture that you can’t redo even a cloth chair which I will be showing off next week. Being organized has also helped me make a plan for projects that are different almost every week. I hope you stick around and read the new blog format it’s gonna be a great read. Have a Blue Happy Day!
