It’s common for a customer to ask me if I have something that will work in a space in their home. I’ll ask for them to send me pictures of that space. It never fells if I don’t have something in my booth at Doc Holliday’s I have something in my home. Yes I will sell the table right out from under Greg’s glass if it works for someone’s home. Not because I’m money hungry only because I love to help people find things for their home that work and pieces that have been given restored life. It’s all so exciting for me to do this. Besides that means I get to do something new for my home.
A few months back I did just that, I sold a table right out of my guest bedroom. It was the perfect size, color and amount of drawers my customer was looking for. So, into her car and home it went with her. Now here I am with guest coming on Friday and my guest room needs to be pulled together and fast. So I need to pick a side table to sit beside my guest bed. Something small and simple will do the trick. I really do have plenty of side tables to pick from. I’m sure the pick will go fast at the storage unit because it’s like 21 degree’s here to day. I’m not a happy camper at all about going to the storage unit on a day like today. Keeping in mind that I’m getting something new for my home brings me out of the grumpy cold mood.
Just before I left for school on Wednesday the door to my class room came open. In walked a student with the cutest little table. She sat it down, smiled said my mom said this is for you and left. As she walked away I said tell your mom I love her. Little did they know they saved me from freezing. This table was perfect for my guest room so no digging in the freezing cold at the storage building. I have the greatest people in my life y’all. NO repairs needed just paint, sanding and clear finish would make it perfect for our guest room. One coat of Pure Pewter from Chalk Country paint gave it the perfect look I was going for. After sanding back the edges I finished it off with Defender for protection. It looks perfect in place next to the bed. Thank you so much Carla for your sweet gift to my home.
