So this morning I was in the creative zone and fumbling through my stash of goodies. This is what came from that early morning dig. I collected a metal base from a patio side table, a round table and a table top from and old round dining table. Now what to make of all of these treasures. The point of this blog is to let you see you can solve any of your home decor needs if you just think outside of the box. We don’t always have to go to a furniture store if we need something new for our home. Just because we need it doesn’t mean it has to be new. Recycle what you have so you save for something else like a trip, spa day or college.
This is another stacking piece and all the pieces fit perfect. First the metal base was cleaned and sprayed with Valspar metal paint. I removed the legs from the round table and sprayed that with the same color. I attached the two pieces together not for the top it was painted with chalk paint and I sanded the edges back for the shabby chic look. It was attached to the top of the other two pieces. All three pieces are now a pub style table. I will be adding four tall stools to complete the piece. It will be at the sidewalk sale on Saturday November the 11th. It will be proudly shown off inside in the Blue Happy Booth.
I love taking things that don’t really belong together and making them work. Sometimes friendship is like that when two unlikely people become friends and it just works. Always think outside the box you never know what’s waiting for you. I can’t wait to tell you my big surprise on Saturday. It’s all going down at 9am right inside Doc Holliday’s. Come join us for the big celebration.
