Blue Happy Living

A week ago I announced the opening of the bigger Blue Happy store within Doc Holliday’s Emporium. We are official full of so many new creative items. I so enjoyed filling it up. Well Greg loaded it up, hauled it into Doc’s, put it where I pointed and me I just placed all the little things around. Pretty sure I have worn him out this week. If you haven’t come by the store to see the new digs this next Saturday is a great day for that. Saturday August the 12th is our sidewalk sale at Doc’s. I’ll have tons of things in the parking lot and all new items inside. Blue Happy Living is 20% off in and outside. There are lots of deals to be had. I will post a special Saturday blog with pictures of all the items. Make your plans to attend early we open at 10am.

Well I promised a 2nd big announcement for today so I guess I’ll just jump right into it.  Blue Happy Living will now be the distributor  for Chalk Country paint and products at Doc Holliday’s Emporium.   In my new space at Doc’s we have carved out a place for the chalk paint and products.  We will carry many colors that are on hand and a few special order colors as well.  I love using this paint it so easy to transform any piece of furniture you have.  Chalk Country also has a line of other products and I’m excited to say I will carry those products as well.  Wax, casting, aging, crackling and several others.  The great thing is I’m Blue Happy to answer any of your question in person or right here on my blog so you can learn to use them all.  Greg and I thought this was a great partnership for the next Blue Happy move.  So with the approval of the Doc Holliday’s owners we dove in.  It’s such an exciting time for Blue Happy and the partnership with Chalk Country Paint.  The good news doesn’t stop there, oh no there is more to the good news.

Starting in September I will be offering chalk painting classes.  Class will be held on the 3rd Thursday evening of each month.  Every month will have a different technique and piece to paint.  You will learn the same methods I do along with a few of my secrets of aging the piece.  EVERYONE WILL LEAVE EACH CLASS WITH A GREAT PIECE FOR THEIR HOME.  Doc’s owners has turned the top half of the store into a teaching studio so we have lots of place to learn things.  December will be a great family paint night to Paint 3 very different ornaments that you can give as a gift or cherish for years.  Starting in February I will add canvas painting classes.  February is a great class for couples with drinks and snacks included.  It will be a great date night and a special Valentines gift to your spouse.  March, April and May will be girls night out so make plans to gather your girl friends and come paint a canvas.
