Last week I knew something wasn’t right. I felt like my incision on my lower back was hot and tighter than before. I went to see Dr. A and I was right I had an infection and my stitches had started to come open. He couldn’t stitch until the infection was under control. So I was sent home with antibiotics and more rest. I was to return on Tuesday but on Sunday I realized it had opened even more and I needed to go in sooner. I called this morning and they said come on in as soon as I could.
The antibiotics did the trick no more infection but i was right it did open even more. He went to work and got it all stitched up. I didn’t feel anything but the first shots to numb my butt. Now I’m back on slow-moving and more rest. I’ll be honest I’m having a hard time with all this rest. As a matter of fact I hate it. I was never meant to just lay in bed and do nothing. I have a very active mind and this is causing me problems. I’m not sure why maybe because this is the 3rd surgery in 12 months and I’m just so over it. Or maybe I’m just feeling so much better with all this skin removed that I just wanna get up and celebrate. I’m not sure all I know is I’m tired of being down.
I know that before I posted pictures that grossed a few of you out. So I’m not gonna post a photo. Also I would have to show part of my butt and I’m not gonna do that. I thought about drawing you a picture but that really isn’t necessary I think you get the picture. I came open, it got infected, now it’s not and now its stitched. I’m not an exhibitionist so there for there will be no photo of my butt on my blog. I go back on Thursday to recheck to make sure all is going in the right direction. My doctor and his crew take such good care of me. I’m glad I picked them to help me with the last leg of restoring my body.
On another note this past weekends sidewalk sale was so successful. I sold many of the items outside and inside. Thank you so very much for supporting Blue Happy Living. I have so many great projects coming up. I have come up with new designs for old drawers, dressers and small tables. I can’t wait until you see what Greg and I did to an old table. I’ll tease you a bit we cut the legs off and now it’s has more than 1 purpose in your home. We have done a few shabby chic industrial pieces and vintage is all over a few of these designs. I’m having to depend on Greg to bring things to Doc Holliday’s and working around his work is sometimes a slow glow. Hopefully this weekend he can add a few more things.
I’ll update you on my doctor appointment on Thursday afternoon. I’m going to be good so this is healed and over soon. I’m ready to get back to Blue Happy creating. Tomorrow’s blog is a fun creation!
