Having the blues can mean so many things. Sometimes if you have the blues your sad and down. I have never looked at the color blue in that way. Blue is more than a color its a feeling of hope, happiness and peace of mind. This week is one of the craziest weeks I have all year. Yes more than art show week, more than Christmas or any holiday for that matter. This is art camp week!!! We open it up for registration and close it so fast. We fill the 75 spots within days and if I did two camps it would fill up as well.
I’ve not got the blues but this small table has the blues. It is Blue Happy all over it and how cute it looks with the blues. I found this little table over a year ago. It got stuck in the back of the storage unit and forgot about. While digging out a few project pieces I found it and brought it home. It was a bit wobbly so Greg shored it up so it was sturdy and then it was my turn. Not much was needed but a good sanding to the top, followed by a light sanding to the legs and body. I used Valspar project paint in teal blue, giving it several light coats until covered. I let it dry over night because drying time here in Texas humidity is long. Once dry I hit it with my sander taking most of the paint off the top. I dusted the legs and base not taking off as much as the top. I love this look, old but still updated with the teal blue color.
This table can be used so many places in your home. I would use it in an entryway, bedside or even in the bathroom for extra storage. Well art camp starts at 9am and I’m on the way to the gym way before that. Have a great Blue Happy Tuesday and I’ll blog you Wednesday.
All finished up and now in my booth at Doc Holliday Emporium 113 S Birmingham Wylie.
