Blue Happy Living

It’s COLD! I do not like winter at all it makes me feel sad.  I’m not kidding at all it makes me miss summer and the hot sun.  I like to wear shorts and flip-flops.  Wearing so many clothes makes me feel closed up and closed in.  On the bright side I’ve planned some crazy projects for this weekend inside.  Just hoping the few times I have to go outside to sand or cut wood I don’t freeze to death.

Project 1: The Bench–The bench I’m referring to is for my daughters bedroom.  It is a 1990’s wicker back with pillows that is so ugly at this moment not even the trash guys would take it.  It’s gonna be an easy make over because I’ve got it all planned out in my head.

Project 2: Coffee Table or Bench–You can use this versatile piece in front of your sofa or along the wall in your entry way.  You could go even further and use it at the end of your bed.  Having all you need to put the finishing touches on in the morning and a place to rest as you prepare things for bed.

Project 3: Lyla Mae’s Dresser–It’s time to finish off the last pieces needed for the new granddaughters nursery.  I found in an auction this great dresser that has a place to also hang all those pretty dresses I’ll be buying her.  I can’t wait to get started on this piece, I have something special planned for this dresser.

Project 4: A few small’s–I love to find and redo small things that can help people organize and decorate all in one.  On my trip to Waco I came home with lots of little smalls to redo.  On Saturday morning I will be reloading the Blue Happy Booth at Doc Holliday’s Emporium with lots of new things to purchase. I’ve got this great beautiful mirror that is amazing. 

That seems like a lot to do with Saturday’s trip to Waxahachie to shop the vintage and junk stores there.  I’m looking forward to it because Karen is going and this is our first trip since she was sick.  I’m looking forward to lots of giggles, trouble making and driving Greg crazy.  We are good at that when we are together and Greg is our driver.  You guys try to stay warm and next week I’ll share all the projects I get done on my blog.  Have a Blue Happy weekend!
