It’s the little things in life that matter right. All those little things can add up to one big bang in your life, home and family. I love to find those little things that can make your life so Blue Happy organized. So I found a few little redo’s that will do just that.
Project 1: The Storage Box
This storage box starts out kinda dual, old and very plain. I sanded the outside of the box first and sat it aside. I have to be honest I struggled a bit with the color of the basket drawers. Yesterday someone made a remark that maybe everyone doesn’t like blue as much as you. Maybe you shouldn’t paint so any things blue. Hmmmmmm well I could do things the way I think others would like it or I could be me and just do my thing. We all at some point in our lives try to hard to please others. When we finally reach a point of I want to be happy and please ourselves we find true happiness. So blue it is on the baskets and I’m happy with that. I used Valspar project spray paint on both the baskets and the outside box. This can be used for so many things in your home. Next to the couch for remotes, pen and paper, On your desk for supplies, how about on an entry table for keys and cell phone but my favorite is in the bathroom for jewelry or make up. The options are endless and I’m sure right now you could think of many things in your home to use it for. It’s so nice to have things in a place all tucked away so that when you need them you don’t have to look for them. I do not like to look for anything and waste my time.
Project 2: The Cabinet Drawer
I found two of these drawers in a pile of trash one morning coming home from the gym. These are great for any cabinet in your home. Paint them out and woohoo storage that is easy to get to. To make them pop a bit and add to the decor of your home I painted the inside with a bright color and left the outside white. That’s right I only sanded the outside and left the original color. Every project doesn’t have to be a complete over haul. Like I said I have two of these boxes and I’m giving them both to my daughter to organize her bathroom. She is gonna love them! On the bottom of each drawer I put felt pads so they will easily slide in and out. There is nothing more aggravating than looking for something that is in the back of a cabinet. Adding a simple pull out drawer to a cabinet can organize and keep you from loosing your mind. Not to mention wasting your valuable time.
I often see old dressers that are so busted up they can’t be repaired. When that happens I take the drawers and any wood from the base that I can use in other projects. I’ll admit it, in my storage I have drawers galore. I use them in many projects and have used many of them to organize my home. Yesterday was a bit of a shock when someone told me I needed to stop with so much blue. Nope not gonna happen cause I need to be me. As I get older the need to be me is more important than ever. I’m sitting on this Blue Happy Island and I’m not going anywhere, LOL LOL LOL. I hope ya’ll have a fantastic Thursday and its way Blue Happy!
