Well wasn’t I Miss Big Plans for today. Got up with all kinds of plans to get all kinds of stuff done. Finish 2 pieces, clean my house-top to bottom, zumba at 5:30 all after teaching my classes today. Well that plan didn’t happen at all. Oh I taught my classes and got most of my art show ready for Monday nights show. The 2 projects I planned on completing today didn’t happen nor did the cleaning my house-top to bottom. I did make it to zumba a bit late but I was there and that counts. Some days you just have to grab what you can and let it be enough!!
That is just what I’m gonna do today except the fact that I didn’t get done all that I wanted to do. Except it and let it go right out the window. Tomorrow is a new day and I’m gonna get some sleep and hit it hard in the morning. I will share a few of tomorrows projects with you.
First up the gym, I know I don’t go on Saturday but next week is a crazy week and I’m gonna have to miss a few times. I wanna get in all I can before my week runs away with me. Having my gym time is what keeps me sane and out of trouble. After the gym off to school to work on the final touches for the student art show Monday evening. This will take me about 3 hours so I wanna get there as soon as I leave the gym. After that I’m home between noon and 1 to finish up the projects I didn’t get done today. I’m working on a night stand for my son-in-law, a dresser to match, coffee table and pantry boxes. In between paint and stain drying I will be cleaning my house, doing laundry and getting my Christmas decorations ready to go. If that’s not enough I’ll need to feed the hubs at least lunch and dinner. Guess I’ll put a pork roast in the crock pot early in the morning. That should do the trick.
We don’t always get things done in the order we want to do them. It’s those days that we need to give ourselves a break and not pressure ourselves into over doing the day. I’m so guilty of doing this to myself all the time. Allowing ourselves the permission to not finish our list isn’t easy but is a well learned lesson that offers peace of mind.
My week was more than I expected, a lot of blessings and most of all it was extremely Blue Happy because I got a chance to put my best foot forward. Little bumps in the road made it interesting and those little bumps taught me so much more than I bargained for. Take the time to count your blessings this week and I’m sure you will find some Blue Happiness in your week as well. No matter how gloomy the week seems I’m sure if you look there are blessings in there somewhere. Although small blessings, size doesn’t matter a blessing is a blessing. In a few weeks we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Taking the time to look back on our year and giving thanks for blessings big and small. I wish that we could do this every day as we lay our heads on our pillows. Why not count them daily instead of once a year. I hope your Friday was fantastic and Blue Happy. Have a blessed and wonderful weekend.
