Trust me there is a redo in this blog, now read on. It’s not healthy to be jealous of what others have. Nor is it right to want what others have. Ever heard the term keep your eyes on your own page? Well that old saying applies to what your neighbor has. If you spend your time looking and wanting what others have you waste your time. That wasted time can be used to better your own life or better those lives that live around you. Never be envious of others, work hard to build your own dreams and empower yourself.
As a little girl I always looked around at others and thought “wow” they have such a great life. As I have grown older I realized I’m in total control of my life, dreams and future. If I don’t like it, I change it! I’m a mover, some would call me a runner (Doctors of the mind). I like to think I’m a person that doesn’t like to waste time on things and people who don’t make me happy, so I move quickly. I make decisions quickly and I always follow through with my plans.
The hard part of being a runner is you sometimes misjudging people and you miss out on a great relationship. I’ve blogged about just that, judging people and not give them a fair chance. I sometimes find myself judging events we are going to and deciding that I’m not going to have a good time before I get there. Again I’m working on that as well. We all have good and bad things in our personality. The best part about waking up each day is we get a second chance to revisit our faults and fix them. The hard undefined line is to identify things, events and people who are truly toxic and remove those from your life.
Furniture and home decor also needs a second chance. This project born in the 70’s, dragged on in the 80’s and had a brief few years in the 90’s. Black wrought iron with over done curls was everywhere. I found this piece at the auction and grabbed it up for a steal of a deal. I used a wire brush to remove spider webs and rust. I painted it with Valspar project spray paint for metal and within an hour a restored life piece. It is now ready to add color to a front porch, patio, bathroom or in the kitchen for cookbooks.
Life is to short to envy what others have. Find your dreams big or small and make them happen. Don’t waste your valued time with anger and jealousy. Make your hump day Blue Happy!
