Three weeks and my daughter and her little family move into their new home. I’m so excited for them and for us, the empty nesters. Once again I can walk to the dryer to get my work out clothes while wearing my underwear. If I forget to check the back door to see if it’s locked before we go to bed I can do that bra-less and not worry if I’ll run into my son-in-law. LOL all funny things but people, these are real issues when you temporally live with your adult children. I’m positive that my daughter and her family feel the same way about us. We all love each other but need our space.
There is so much to do in the next 3 weeks. I went to the house with my daughter and we went room to room deciding on what furniture I would need to do for her. The list is long but we have been collecting things over the past few months and we have all we need now to paint them.

Yep that’s about it. I’m gonna get it all done over the next 3 weeks. I’ve already started and I’m sure it can get done I just have to keep organized. My hope is on Moving day the 8th of November I will have it all ready for the movers to pick it up from my house and move it right into place at their new home. They have done a great job of picking out all their colors and keeping it neutral. Adding color should be with the decor and the less expensive items. Heather wants to make sure that they start out with it all organized and keep it that way. We have spent many hours talking about how she can make that happen. Every time we go out to the house we always talk about how to make it functional and organized leaving no corner, closet or shelf unplanned for. Moving into a new home is like getting a fresh start with how your home runs. You can do away with all the old habits and bring in new and better ways for your family. Realistically you can do that with the home you are living in now. Just take it one room at a time, clear it out and fix it up. We all need that ever so offer to get us back on track.
So over the next few weeks I will be blogging about all the furniture I’m redoing for their home. The final blog about her home will be one week after they move in. I will share with you the progress of getting this in order for her family. So stay tuned to the blog and watch what is happening. Thursday started out rainy and ended up very Blue Happy and sunny.
