So here we are at the start of a fantastic redo. This room belongs to a little girl that is so sweet. Her mom and I are friends through the gym. Let’s just say right or wrong what ever Rachel does in Zumba I do because I follow her every move. I can not dance so I just do what she does to the best of my non dancing soul.
Rachel is one of the happiest people I know. She always has a smile and a kind word. I love her accent and she gets all my weirdness. When Wylie Texas got hit by the hail storms a few months back her home was blasted and torn apart. With a total of 4 kids I don’t know how she did it, but she never stopped smiling. It’s been months and finally their home is starting to come back together. Her oldest went from down stairs to up stairs. The room had some damaged and now that it’s all fixed I told her I would decoratively organize it. So here we go!
Today I thought I would introduce the project and Monday show the final reveal. Rachel’s daughter is out of town and wont be back until Sunday so time to add some punch to this sweet little room.
There is one window on the far wall and the closet and door out is all on the opposite wall. So I had two long uninterrupted walls to work with. She already had amazing white furniture so we just needed the icing. I sat down with mom and daughter and ask what colors do you like, what furniture can I paint and what special things would you like. A few of those things were keeping the hand made furniture by family, chevron, storage and organizing. Not a tall order and easy todo. When I got there Rachel had already moved the furniture and so the room was ready to start painting.
Now here is where I stop and you have to wait until Monday’s blog to see the reveal. I know, but I need Saturday to finish it off. I will say it’s gonna be fantastic! You have a Blue Happy weekend and I’ll blog at you Monday!
