I’m at my happy place! I do love to be in Waco Texas. It’s a fun little town with lots to do and we are doing all my favorites before we are off to San Antonio. We are headed to San Antonio to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It was last month but I was recovering from my surgery. We got married there all those years ago.
We drove in late last night to Waco after a very long day. So it was straight to the hotel and off to bed. Up early this morning so we could visit Heritage Homestead. Now this is a great little community to visit. Stepping back in time in this community gives you such a peaceful feeling. I do love being here with all the homemade items to shop through. You can see the blacksmith at work, the wood working shop, pottery shed and the amazing cafe where everything is homemade. Yummy yummy food you will yern for after you leave. In the artisans store I bought local honey, homemade pasta (for my son), gluten free home made macaroons (for my daughter) and apple cider vinager. I’ll be back around Christmas to shop for gifts.
Now to shop the silo’s!! Yep I’m here and I can’t wait to drag Greg through this shopping spree. I’m Sure he is just so excited about it. Wow not to busy when we got here. This is the first time I’ve not waited in line to get in. There is so much stuff here to look at. I loaded up on t-shirts and snagged a canvas bag for the up coming school year. Finished the shopping spree off with a very special sign for the nursery of a sweet little girl. Ok shopping done now over to the new Magnolia Flour for a cup cake. When you get there you are greeted by those sweet Magnolia girls and there happy smiles. They give you a card with the menu and that’s how you order. You carefully mark what you want, it makes the line go extremely fast. I got 2 cup cakes to share with Greg. We already ate the peanut butter cup and it was amazing and moist. We will share the chocolate and vanilla cream later. I love cup cakes and these are in my top 3 favorites.
Now we are off to San Antonio to celebrate even more. There is still so much fun to be had on this mini vacation. Hope the eve to your weekend is blessed and you have a Blue Happy day.
