Well I’ll bet you thought that I wasn’t gonna blog today. Not so fast I promised to blog Monday-Friday when I started and I always keep my promise. Today is a day to celebrate that we are FREE. What does that mean???
Our freedom is something we all forget from time to time. We live our lives daily doing as we please and never think about why and how that is possible. We vote in elections, worship in a church or faith of our choice and live life to our choosing. All because we have a military that gives up so much to give us those rights. Young men and women away from their families today so we can celebrate and live how we want.
For years there have been men and women fighting on our behalf. The vets of the world aren’t treated with respect so many times. The vets of the world are our foundation of our freedom. They gave up so much many years ago and now we need to return the favor and treat them with the respect they deserve. Super Hero’s if you ask me! I live with a vet, married him when he was serving. Our first-born is a military brat. I loved those years wouldn’t trade them for anything. Some of the best people I’ve ever met were the families that served along beside him. Thank you Lynn and Genny for caring for us as a young family. Not only did you serve your country but you served the young men and their families as your own children.
Today as you celebrate try hard to remember the men who signed the Declaration of Independence so so many years ago. What a gift to us and they suffered for doing it. Don’t let the day go by without praying for our country, the election and our FREEDOM. It is something to cherish and hold dear to our hearts.
Remember today is the day that has the highest percentage of dogs are miss placed from their homes. When fireworks go off it is very hard on them and they will bolt and run. So before you leave to celebrate put them in a safe place so they can’t hear the celebration. Leave on a radio or TV. If it’s an outside doggie please lease them up so that they can’t hurt themselves. A radio on the back porch could help muffle that noise for them as well. Please don’t drink and drive call a friend or uber. I’m not promoting uber just being smart and safe. May God Bless you all on this 4th and I hope that it is so Blue Happy for you and your family. FREEDOM IS NOT PRICELESS THE COST HAS BEEN SO GREAT FOR MANY.
