It’s just another Wednesday to most. Some like to call it hump day. It’s that mid day during the week that if you can make to Wednesday you can surly make it to the weekend. I’ve been guilty myself wishing my Wednesday away so the weekend would be here. BUT NOT TODAY!
This Wednesday is something special because it’s a Wednesday like no other. It’s Greg’s 52nd birthday!! I’m gonna try to Rangel my kids up for a special BBQ lunch. Can’t do dinner cause Greg has dinner with a customer. At first I was a bit upset because how dare them plan something on his birthday. I mean don’t they understand he has a family wanting to celebrate with him. Then I brought myself back to reality that the world doesn’t revolve around just my family. So lunch it will be.
All of this got my head in one of those OMGosh moments. Why we only have one day to celebrate the ones we love. It’s like ok it’s their birthday so let’s make plans to get everyone together and be all happy, have a great meal and lift them up for that day. Really that kinda stinks why not surprise some one with a special lunch visit, or a sweet card with a candy bar. How easy it would be to lift someone you love up. RUTS PEOPLE RUTS! We all get in them without even knowing it. Challenge yourself to get out of those ruts and shock someone with a bit of love. A hand written note, a Hershey bar with a card attached, a sticky note with “Have a blessed day” will make that persons day. Look at it like this a person grabs the mail before they run off to work. At the first long traffic light they look through their mail. In that mail is a medical bill or notice of a traffic ticket. You know that sets your day off on a crappy trail. Turn that around someone you love is rushing out the door they get to their car to find a hand written note from you that reads “love ya have a blessed day! I’ll have dinner ready when you get home and we’ll watch a movie”. Wow you just sent them off to have a blessed day. Same thing with a co-worker finding a card or a candy bar can make the difference in a bad day or good day.
Small changes in the way we handle our family and friends is the change that starts to make our lives more Blue Happy. Making a difference for others will certainly make a difference for you. Enjoy hump day by making a Blue Happy difference for someone else.
