Well it’s Friday and as I promised I would reveal the 3 pieces of trash I found on Wednesday. All three pieces have been redone and are now renewed. I can’t wait to get your reaction about these pieces. A few recycled simply and one completely transformed.Lets start with tray shall we. This tray was so beautiful. It was real wood and had great hardware already on it. I took off the hardware and painted out the tray in a creamy yellow. I distressed it a bit and used this old bike stencil. With a final clear coat finish I was ready to pop the hardware back on. TA DA trash to treasure! It was free folks not a penny to buy it. I used paint I already had and this tray is fantastic to use in any home.
The magazine rack was another simply project that now has great use. I went for a bright green to give it a bit of punch and flare. This racks can be used for so many things around the house. Like blankets in the family room, books beside the bed or even your baking pans in the kitchen closet. I’m sure that you can think of many more ways to use it in your home.
Now for the complete transformation the little wood table that has seen better days. I had to dig into my wood pile to get this one done. I added a back to it that is rather tall. I also added a piece of wood covered in fabric to the top of the table. Finally I added a wood pickets on the bottom to cover the old shelf. It is now a set to put in any childs room for them to get their clothes ready for school. It holds their shoes, back pack and a place to sit to take off or put on those shoes. I painted it all out white with desressing. This one is for a very special little girl!
Trash to treasure! I know that most of you wouldn’t have stopped and picked up any of these items. If I wouldn’t have saved them they would right now be in the city dump. I hope that you can see almost anything can be up cycled into usable furniture for your home. Have a Blue Happy weekend.
