We covered so much in just 4 days here in Nashville. I loved every minute of it. I have eaten great food, visited many sites and shop till we dropped. You could tell we were both tired last night. Neither one of us wanted to admit it. We both tried very hard but finally around 10 we went back to the hotel.
One of those great sites we visited was the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg Tn. Greg is a Tennessee Spuire. What does that mean? That means he owns a one inch by one inch square of the property. The only way to get that is to be nominated by another member. Thank you Micky he loved it. I was amazed what all goes into making Jack. It really is a process to see. Even if your not a drinker of Jack and I’m not, it is still quiet interesting to visit and tour. Beyond the interesting process the grounds are truly beautiful. After the tour we went over to down town Lynchburg. We ate the most amazing BBQ on the town square. After lunch we shopped at the local hardware store where they sell everything Jack Daniels you could ever dream of. I bought a t-shirt no surprise there.
Monday we visited The Grand Ole Opry. We didn’t see a show because all the show were people I didn’t really care to see. Someday I would like to come back when there’s a star that’s on my bucket list to see. We walked all around the Opry and it was spectacular. The door in the front caused me to gasp and stand there for a bit. I loved all the wood work. As we walked around the grounds Greg said we have to visit the Gaylord Opryland hotel. At first I said no we have one of those in Dallas. He said trust me it’s not as big and we are going. I’m so glad he made me how mesmerized I was as I walked through this amazing hotel. The atrium was so gorgeous and peaceful. So on my bucket list has been added go see a show at the Grand Ole Opry and stay at the GayLord Opryland Hotel.
To end our stay in Nashville Greg took me back to a store I found something but didn’t get. He said if you don’t go back and get it you’ll wished you did. He is such a sweet heart always trying to make me happy. I’ll show that piece in a later blog. We visited lots of thrift stores and one that was so weird. We bought a few things for our patio. We had a great day and I’m looking forward to the ride to Arkansas. We are going to stay over night with Greg’s Dad one night.
I’ve had such a great vacaction. I’m going to continue to enjoy it. When I arrive back in Texas I’ll then put my feet on the ground and run. It is a continuous effort not live ahead of myself, to focus on this moment and enjoy it. Have a Blue Happy Tuesday and enjoy your moments they are blessings.
