So a few weeks ago I told you that I was starting the remodel of our 2 guest rooms and Greg’s office. We are knee-deep into this mess and my house is driving me crazy. I can’t believe we are almost done with the major parts. We will only have small things left after that to call this home complete.
So here is how it’s all rolling out over the next week. I have moved everything from the two guest rooms and Greg’s office into the main part of the house. Oh my goodness what a mess. I have removed all the carpet and tack stripes in all the room. We are ready for the floor guys on the 24th. I can’t wait, we were told that it should only take a day because we have done a lot of the prep work. It may seem like removing the carpet is a simple job so why not let the floor guys do it. Well it saved us $150 per room for moving the carpet and tack strips before they get here. I can do a lot with that $450 savings like go shopping. Now we wait for the floor guys to come and while we wait we clean. I’m going through everything that was pulled out of these rooms. If we don’t need it, use it or gonna need it out it goes to the garage sale. Which by the way will be on Saturday March 19th. I’m looking forward to clearing out the garage and making a little cash to boot. I know what you are thinking, right in the middle of all this remodel a garage sale. Well why not, multitasking is my middle name.
Along with the garage sale and the remodel of 3 rooms I also have windows going in on Monday and Tuesday. We have done so much to the inside of the house the outside looks a bit sad. I have made big plans for the outside and making it new and fresh again. So lets recap new floors, 3 room redo’s, new windows, revamp the front of the house and oh landscaping of the front flower beds. So we have a long list that will happen over the next week. On Tuesday March 29th will be the first reveal, Wednesday will be reveal #2, Thursday will be reveal #3 and Friday will be reveal #4. This is a big promise but I’m ready to get this show on the road and roll this remodel train into the station.
