I love this week of school the kids are so excited about getting out of school for the holiday’s. You can’t get them to settle down for nothing.
The kids I teach are amazing. I love their spirit and their zest for life. I have often said they are what keeps me young. Everyday is different from the last. They keep me hoping but never give me trouble in class. As I walk through the campus they always have a hello and the hugs are plenty.
This week so many of them dropped off sweet and loving gifts for me. Although not necessary I do love all of the gifts I’m given. All year they write me notes thanking me for teaching them when really I should be thanking them for allowing me to teach them. It goes beyond teaching it is my passion.
On Tuesday night we had our first ever Fine Arts Show Case at Wylie Prep. We are in the building stages of adding different departments to our Fine Arts . What an amazing night, the lower school music class was fantastic followed by our new drum line that rocked the house. Our upper school theater department brought everyone to their feet as their performance came to an end. These teachers and kids stood strong and brought the house down in style.
Today my kids where being quiet silly and sang me a song for Christmas. Most kids were done today so we had a bit of a party in class. They all sang me songs and that was the best gift ever. We can learn so much from the children around us. What a blessing youth can be if we let it feel us up with joy.
I hope your weekend is Blue Happy and you slow down and enjoy a Blue Happy moment.
