The past few weeks have been less than amazing. I have watched the man of my dreams fall from grace to a weak man, sick and feeling less than normal. He was determed to make it to this weekend, a planned trip to celebrate his hard work for his company. But despite it all, we arrived in Vegas on Wednesday to a limo driver waiting to take us up a hotel.
We had a suite full of accommodations, each day we were treated with treats delivered to our room. The first day, chocolate covered strawberries, then Halloween cookies and on the last day an apple watch for Greg.
The weekend was full of amazing dinners, shopping, and new friends. I have never felt so special. I loved every moment. Greg and I needed this so much after the past few weeks of hospitals, surgeries, and medical care.
I loved the Elton John concert. We had great seats with a perfect view of the stage. The talent of Elton John is God given. He has a way with music that only God can grant. I was moon struck while he played. It was 2 hours of non stop amazement.
As this weekend comes to an end I look back on what I learned.
- Vegas is not for a family vacation. There are weird things here.
- Life is short, so stop and hear the music and listen for what it may be telling you.
- Don’t reflect on the bad only look at the good things.
- Grab life and roll with it.
- Make new friends.
- Get a massage, it’s amazing.
- Let Blue Happy happen.
This is a short blog but I’m tired; a good tired, though. I made a new friend, her name is Tracy. (Hi, Tracy!) I’m looking forward to a trip to Scotland in July to visit her! I’m truly Blue Happy!
