There is nothing more pleasing than a well-organized desk, vanity, or bathroom counter top. It’s so much easier to get ready in the morning if everything you need is neatly stored. I don’t know about you but I love to get up in the morning with no stress of looking for things and knowing right where they are.
At a garage sale I felt like I hit a $3 jack pot. I knew just what It could be the minute I picked up this cute little box. It had so much potential and uses that I couldn’t wait to get started on the redo.
I couldn’t decide what color so I had a little bit of help with that. I have an hour break in the morning at school so I took the piece with me to work on it during that time. I had brought a couple of colors of paint because I couldn’t decide to go dark green or pale green. I had the paint sitting out and my high school class had an opinion. It was a 50 50 vote. So I decided to use both dark green on the inside and pale green on the outside. It was a perfect combination. If I didn’t give them credit I would never hear the end of it. So here you go kids this is your credit.
I sanded the edges and used a couple of coats of clear finish. There were no repairs needed but I did remove the little wood knob and replace it with this beautiful knob that has a tree on it.
Now this might be a little box but it gives you a big bang for your buck. So many uses! In your bathroom you could use it for your make up or on your vanity with face products. I like it for the kitchen for coffee items to sit by your coffee pot. Or add it to the top of your desk to hold office supplies. So many uses from one little box.
For me organizing is like a game I need to play. I’m always looking for ways to make things easier in my home and easier for me. I love to see just how I can make things work better than they are at the moment.
